Coppell's head trainer Dana O'Neal has managed a successful career in the fitness industry for nearly 15 years. She began her journey teaching classes in the early mornings and evenings while maintaining a full time job in the TV and Film industry. She began expanding her knowledge with an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) group exercise certification, and years later she achieved her personal trainer certification to begin concentrating on changing individuals lives through exercise. Her experience teaching in the gym ranges from step aerobics to yoga, with everything in between like spin and cardio blast classes. After starting a family, Dana transitioned into starting her own fitness business maintaining neighborhood bootcamps, personal training clients, as well as after school teacher bootcamps. Simplifying the fitness atmosphere to a park or home and focusing on results was a big challenge as a trainer. Dana's fitness philosophy begins with cross training clients, encouraging them to reach beyond their ability, and providing variety to every workout. Orangetheory Fitness was an immediate fit for our head trainer as it exemplifies exactly the same beliefs: achieve maximum output from your workout through intensity and variation. Dana is a mom to three elementary age children, and strives to be a role model for other parents who are attempting to make time for fitness.
Growing up in Texas Whitney put her constant energy into dancing and cheerleading. She proved to be a high-level athlete always working with an ambitious approach no matter what was thrown her way. Whitney has had a long-time passion for running which she also discovered in childhood, either racing her brother or trying to have the fastest mile when it came time to compete in school. It wasn’t until her freshman year of college that she recognized not only her passion for fitness but the opportunity to continue to work with a competitive edge. It started out with running a couple half marathons and taking a few kinesiology classes. Her impressive accomplishments in less than 5 years include 14 half marathons and 2 full marathons and a degree in Movement Science from TCU. Whitney first fell in love with Orangetheory fitness in 2015 as a founding member at the Montgomery Plaza Ft. Worth studio. Her regular attendance, okay it might have been almost every day, was what began to inspire her to pursue a career path with OTF. Whitney holds a personal training certification through NASM which she accomplished while finishing her last semester of college. Her coaching journey took off in 2016. She is one of the most traveled coaches in our DFW region assisting in 4 studios’ regularly and eventually calling Coppell her home studio in 2017 after her college graduation. The changing workout designs, fun and encouraging atmosphere are what still have her running in the door every day. She continues to train for long distance races in her spare time as well as sharing quality walks with her adorable dog Lulu.
Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.
Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
